The Rogar kitchen island is a mobile kitchen island or cart.

Its combination of materials and its chic design are both unique, yet it also combines a fairly large work space and storage shelves with the permanence and durability of a granite top.

Rogar, founded in Abilene, Texas in 1975 when it introduced the solid brass Vintner wine opener, now manufactures all its products outside Richmond, Virginia.

In addition to antique-style wine openers, it produces hanging and wall-mounted pot racks, and other accessories like End Grain Butcher Block cutting boards, and the new Rogar kitchen islands.

Great For Today's Lifestyles

Mobile kitchen islands or carts are especially suitable for today's lifestyles and for modern kitchens that often feature open-space design and free-flowing floor plans.

They can be moved to their most useful location for cooking or when more than one cook is at work, but they can also be moved out of the way to convert the kitchen into a multiple-use area between meals. When guests arrive, kitchen carts can be moved into other rooms or outside on the deck or patio.

The Rogar mobile kitchen island is 31.5"x23.25" and stands 35" off the floor, a comfortable working height.

Large locking casters allow it to be moved easily over carpets or uneven deck or patio surfaces, two hardwood drawers and shelves provide plenty of storage for cooking and serving utensils.

But it's the appearance of the cart that is most stunning.

The hardwoods are Nyatoh, or Asian Cherry, a plantation-grown wood from Malaysia, the base legs and frame are powder-coated steel and Handles are stainless steel.

The inch-thick top is Granite in your choice of four colors: White Wave, Evergreen, Absolute Black, and Desert Sand. And because granite can be tough on your cutlery, an end-grain butcher block cutting board is included.
