Bamboo butcher block is generally made with fairly thin laminated strips of bamboo, is extremely durable, and has a lighter appearance than does traditional butcher block, which is usually made of Hardrock Maple glued edge or end grain.

Bamboo butcher blocks have a more disciplined style to them, very much in the Oriental tradition which is so popular in American kitchens today.

Bamboo is easy to clean and has a warm caramel coloration when the wood has been heated to ‘stir’ the sugars naturally occurring in bamboo stalks.

Carts with bamboo cutting boards are especially stylish when used to serve in rooms where guests have gathered.

Many carts are equipped with carriage style wheels for easy movement over carpets indoors and over rough surfaces on the deck or patio.
